Literature Text

"For you", he said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd run,
Though the sky is barely blue,
With no warmth left in the sun",

"I'd run".

"For you", he said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd stand,
Though blame for me is most undue,
And by you this trick was planned",

"I'd stand".

"For you", he said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd smile,
Though the torment I've been through,
Makes me doubt life is worthwhile",

"I'd smile".

"For you", He said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd cry,
The kites which we once flew,
Have been torn cruelly from the sky",

"I'd cry".

"For you" he said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd endure,
Anguish I'll push through,
Though what ails me has not a cure",

"I'd endure".

"For you", he said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd depart,
Withdraw from my haven,
With sorrow in my heart",

"I'd depart".

"For you", he said, "for you",
"A thousand times I'd die,
My loyalty will always hold true,
Though we may say good-bye".

"I'd die".

"For you, a thousand times over."
Based on Amir and Hassan's relationship throughout 'The Kite Runner'.

Potential spoilers?
Not really.

Wrote this in ten minutes, be gentle with me, hahaha.
I'm not a poet at all.

This is beautiful. Being myself lost in the author's quotes; I see this very beautiful.
